6829 Dunnsville Road

On the morning of Thursday May 21st, just after 8:30 am the members of the Guilderland Fire Department responded at the request of the Altamont Fire Department to assist with a structure fire at 6829 Dunnsville Road.

First arriving units were met with a heavy smoke condition and large volume of fire coming out of the rear of the residence. Truck 29’s Ladder was immediately put into operations and our members assisted with the suppression of the fire.

Due to a lack of fire hydrants in the area an aggressive tanker operation was established in order to ensure enough water supply for crews battling the flames.
