Thank you notes from our residents

As a LaGrange descendant who grew up in Voorheesville until moving away in 1959, I just want to express my gratitude to you and to all of the volunteers for your efforts to control the Sept. 24 fire at the family homestead at 300 LaGrange Lane. I fully understand the difficulties you faced combatting that blaze.

Our elementary school families really enjoyed interacting with members of the Fort Hunter and Guilderland Fire Departments at Lynnwood's annual Ghouls & Goblins Fall Festival. Thank you for providing additional event lighting that evening. Our families loved learning about fire safety and the PASS technique using the fire extinguisher simulator.

Thank you Guilderland Fire Department for hosting our Cub Scout Tiger Den at your firehouse to talk about fire prevention and to give us a tour of your facility. Our favorite part was sitting in the different fire engines and trucks! We had a wonderful time learning about how fire departments serve our community and enjoyed meeting some of your volunteer members.
