Our Department:

The Guilderland Fire Department has served the district for 88 years with 36 active members currently serving their community. The department maintains four fire apparatus, two command vehicles, and one utility vehicle. Fire apparatus includes a 1992 Salisbury (Engine 27) and a 2018 KME (Engine 28). Both are Class I engines that pump large volumes of water and carry firefighting hose and ground ladders. Other apparatus includes a 2008 E-One 100 foot aerial ladder platform/pumper (Truck 29) and a 2007 Spartan Light Rescue Squad (Squad 23) that contains a mobile air bank and the Jaws of Life.

Our membership includes both men and women, high school and college students and a diverse group of local professionals. Anyone 16 years or older may join if they live or work in the Guilderland Fire District. Ladies Auxiliary is also accepting new members, there is no residency requirement. Applications for either may be obtained by calling the firehouse at 456-5000 or by email via our contact page.
