Brush Fire Training – Hands On
On Wednesday March 31st, the members of the Guilderland Fire Department participated in a joint drill with our friends at the Fort Hunter and Guilderland Center fire departments. The focus on this week’s training was to take the lessons from last week’s classroom training and apply them in the field.
In addition to using our standard hand tools and saws, our members had the opportunity to obtain some hands on experience with some of the specialized equipment such as off road vehicles that both Guilderland Center and Fort Hunter Fire Departments have.
We would like to extend a special thank you to both Fort Hunter and Guilderland Center for the opportunity to work with both departments on this collaborative training exercise.
