Members of the Guilderland Fire Department paid a special visit to Mrs. Meddaugh’s 1st grade class at the Guilderland Elementary School in honor of Fire Prevention Month. Our firefighters provided an insightful demonstration, showcasing their full gear for search and rescue operations. They also imparted essential fire safety knowledge, including techniques such as “get low and go” and “stop, drop, and roll” to the attentive students and teachers.
To top off the educational experience, the students had the exciting opportunity to step aboard a fire truck and gain a firsthand glimpse of the equipment used by these brave first responders.
