Almost every community has the potential to need some type of a water rescue. Today, being a firefighter is much more than just fighting fires. Our members today are required to have a multitude of skill sets, one of which is preparing for the possibility that we will need to respond to a water rescue.
On Monday evening June 24th, our members took part in a training session which was conducted at the Tawasentha Park Pool. Using the pool provides our members a safe way to train in a controlled environment. During the training sessions members practiced techniques for reaching a stranded victim and safely pulling them back to shore.
